Kona Lanes was located at 2699 Harbor Blvd. in Costa Mesa, CA. The 40 lane bowling alley was in business for 45 years, from 1958 to 2003. Though the building was torn down, the Kona Lanes neon sign lives on at the American Sign Museum in Cincinnati, Ohio.
This 1973 menu from their restaurant is cleverly illustrated, with the bowler using a coconut instead of a bowling ball, and the pins are depicted as palm trees.
